Aegis Elite Family

The Aegis Elite family is a revival of the Aegis line (discontinued at the end of 2016). Unlike the older Aegis models that were only chambered in 9mm, the Aegis Elite family comes in both .45 ACP and 9mm. The Aegis Elite family features fiber optic front sights, G10 grips and a new pattern of cocking serrations.

The Aegis Elte Pro and Aegis Elite Custom both have a rounded heel / mainspring housing. Both the Pro and Custom models also come in a variant with a pre-mounted Vortex Venom mini red dot sight.

Kimber KHX Family

The KHX family is probably on of the most exciting additions to Kimber's 2018 model year lineup. There are a total of five models offered in both 9mm and .45 ACP for a total of 10 variations.

The KHX family  members all differ slightly in features so pay close attention to their feature sets in the spec sheets below.

We just received the list of items Sig is marking as discontinued. In the past we've seen items that had previously been flagged as discontinued still available for months (a couple items were available for order for about a year). How long we'll still be able to get these is unknown but they will probably not be available for terribly long.

For some of these models I expect we'll see some upgraded similar versions coming in 2018.

We've seen the growth of 6.5 Creedmoor with new releases from varying manufacturers throughout the industry. We saw quite a few bolt action rifles being released early with the Ruger Precision Rifle really drawing attention to the caliber due to its modularity and price point.

Quite a few AR manufacturers jumped on the 6.5 train and now Springfield Armory has announced the release of three new M1A models chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor.

Three new models are being released. The three rifles are very similar with the primary difference being the stock. All three have a 22" stainless steel national match medium weight barrel, 2 stage trigger, California muzzle break and 10rd magazine.

We have all three variants on order with Springfield and expect to see shipments rather soon.

We just received some good news for Sig fans. They're releasing a few new items including P320 X5 and X5 Carry grip shells, a MCX upper with integral suppressor, a few M400 Elite pistols, two new 1911 9mm models and what appears to be white P320 grip shells.

We don't yet have dedicated photos of any of these items but were able to place orders for them with Sig today. We'll have pricing soon.

Springfield Armory seems to be staggering out their new releases. Last week they announced the M1A chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and today they've announced two new 1911 TRP models chambered in 10mm.

The first of the two new releases is a 10mm TRP 1911 and the second is a long slide 6" TRP.

Forged steel frames and slides are coated in a highly corrosion-resistant Black-T finish and precision fitted to Match Grade stainless steel barrels with fully supported ramps. Accessory rails allow attachment of lights and lasers. 3-dot tritium nightsights, featuring a tactical-rack rear in the 5” version, and fully adjustable rear in the 6” model.

Octo-Grip™ front strap and mainspring housing texturing with G10 VZ Grips® assure a confident hold. Ambidextrous safety and SA Gen 2 Speed Trigger with a 4.5- to 5-pound pull deliver custom-grade feel and performance. A heavier slide/barrel combination with an optimized recoil spring properly balances the 10mm recoil.  Both models ship with two 8-round magazines.

Ruger just announced the PC Carbine chambered in 9mm. It has interchangeable magazine wells to accept either Ruger SR mags or Glock mags. The Glock magazine well is included! The barrel is threaded.

Features:

• Interchangeable magazine wells for use of common Ruger® and Glock® magazines. Ships with SR-Series Pistol and Security-9® magazine well installed and an additional magazine well accepting Glock® magazines is included.

Yesterday Ruger announced their new PC Carbine and today they've dropped another new rifle, the Precision Rimfire Rifle.

The new rifle has a threaded barrel, adjustable trigger, adjustable stock, and a relatively low price point (MSRP of $529).

Features:

• Molded, one-piece chassis and adjustable buttstock assembly are manufactured with glass-filled nylon for strength, stiffness and stability, making a solid foundation for accuracy each and every shot. Adjustable buttstock features a flat Picatinny bag rider making it easy to affix a rear monopod. It’s all about the details! We've been busy working our way around the floor of SHOT Show and have lots of photos to share.

By far the new Sig P365 is the most exciting new release for the show. Truthfully the SHOT Show has been pretty lackluster in terms of new releases.

Most manufacturers started releasing new model information as far back as November and while there have been some great additions to existing lines (Kimber had some cool new variations on their 1911 lines).

STI dropped quite a few of their 1911's last year. There are really almost none left. They have, however, added quite a few variations to their 2011 line. We'll provide some more information on the changes from STI but we do have photos to share from the booth.

Sig just released a second P365 variant, this one with X-Ray 3 sights. The rest of the specs seem to be the same as the original model.

Hopefully these will help provide some detail on overall size of the P365.
